The merciless city was scorched under the sunlight
درختانش پنجه باز کرد
Her trees unwound their claws
جوانه‌ی آدمهایش خشکید
The sprouts of her people dried out

دیگر آفتاب غروب نکرد
Sun never did set anymore
باران گریست
Rain shed tears
و شهر بی رحم خوابید
And the merciless city went to sleep
